  1. Well done, Camp Kaiju, on your ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ centennial celebration.

    Don’t forget this year is also the 100th anniversary of ‘The Lost World’. I think this is the first feature length film with Willis O’brien’s stop motion effects. There are earlier examples, but they’re all short films.

    1. Kaiju Nick, thank you for the reminder! The Lost World is a milestone in kaiju cinema and we’ll be sure to recognize that on the podcast. Our next recording will be for Pacific Rim, due out in mid-December, so we’ll be sure to give the film its due then. I may also add that, personally, I think The Lost World holds up remarkably well on its own merits (aside from its historical significance!)
