Camp Kaiju recently had the honor to sit with the Monster Kid Radio podcast to discuss the sci-fi legacy of director Jack Arnold. Give it a listen!
Arnold was a contract director at Universal in the 1950s, who made a mark in the horror and science fiction genre; and while you may not recognize his name, you certainly know his films: Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954), It Came from Outer Space (1953), Tarantula (1955), and his most critically acclaimed work, The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957).
As for Monster Kid Radio, it is “a weekly Rondo award-winning audio podcast dedicated to the fandom of the classic monster movies of the 1930s-1960s.” Launched in 2013, the show is produced and hosted by Derek M. Koch with new episodes released weekly. Plus, the backlog of episodes is tremendous; if you are interested in classic monster flicks, you gotta follow MKR!
So give Monster Kid Radio a listen and Camp Kaiju will see you next week with an all new episode – our season 4 announcement!
